In September 2024, when Russell & Abbott closed, our world was turned upside down. Overnight, families we worked beside — and served — were left facing the unknown. But where some saw an ending, we saw a beginning. With families to provide for in a community we love, we chose to keep serving our neighbors. The work mattered, and so do the people. Phoenix Home Comfort was built on the belief that service should be honest, skilled, and rooted in integrity. We’re proud to be a young, family-run team writing a new chapter for East Tennessee HVAC — a reminder that with hard work and grace, something beautiful can rise from the ashes.

Phoenix Home Comfort is led by longtime friends and business partners, Sam Hartness and Augie Perez. Both started in the field as technicians, learning the trade from the ground up and earning trust through hard work and craftsmanship. When the opportunity came to start fresh, they joined forces to build something lasting — a company where family values guide every decision and integrity drives every job.



Alongside their wives, Mary and Tessa, they’ve turned that vision into reality. What began as two families working side by side has grown into a team committed to serving East Tennessee with care, faith, and pride in their work.
